waiting for warren.

This blog is an attempt to prove to myself that I should in fact have a blog. It's more than reasonable to say that I shouldn't.

Lauren is moderately obsessed with fashion, film, music, pop culture, her brother's dog and baby, nail polish, fine accoutrements, grandiose knick-knacks, sumptuous cocktails, and other things nice too.

This is not a documentary. This is going to be chillingly epic.

Girl crush. But I think a screw’s loose.

Obsessed. With both video and song.

My top 3 at the 2012 Golden Globes this evening. Jessica in Elie Saab, Charlize in Dior Couture, Reese in Zac Posen, and Claire in J. Mendel . I’ve always been adamant in my distaste for Claire Danes, but she’s doing something right in this dress, and she’s definitely doing something right in Homeland. Damn you Danes, damn you.

I have an Olsen problem.

My wedding obsession lingers.

Oh no. I seem to have stumbled upon some wedding gowns that dazzle me. What’s that you say? No wedding? No fiance? No boyfriend? Don’t worry, I’m simultaneously picking out my casket dress as well. Two birds, one stone.

Dresses by Sarah Seven and Jenny Packham.

The first and only commercial that’s ever made me cry, circa 2002. And it’s Nike. I’m pathetic.

Some of my favorites from Marchesa, Chloe, and Valentino for spring 2012. Such a glimpse of old Hollywood — flapper fringe, lace detail, billowy sleeves — uber feminine nods in all three lines. I’m guessing Marchesa and Valentino will dominate red carpets.
